Learning to Publish

Learning HTML

Documents that you publish in the Web should be formatted in HTML, a simple formatting language. Most users can begin publishing in the Web with a minimual knowledge of HTML. The Quick Reference or Beginner's Guide below are more than adequate. Also, an excellent way to learn HTML is to imitate others. When you see a Web page that you like, you should view or save the HTML code that produces that page. The procedure to view or save varies with browsers, but generally, look under the File menu for View Source or Save As (in HTML).
